Last week I mentioned that my words for 2011 were FOCUS and ORGANIZED.  Happily it has been working!  I’m getting to things that have been sitting on my to-do list for weeks.  The down-side is that I’ve been cranking out so much stuff that I haven’t been blogging as much.  Plus I feel like I’m not having anything exciting or new to report to you all.

I did get a rejection letter the other day from my favorite Arts Co-op in Boulder.  As excited as I was to get in, I wasn’t crushed when I got the letter.  I kind of thought “it wasn’t meant to be I suppose!”   But I’ll keep plugging along.  I did hear from my friend who has my work in her office at Whole Foods that her boss wants to see my stuff, so that’s potentially an opportunity down the road.  All in time.  Can’t rush it and I’ve already done so much in the 4 months that I’ve been selling my artwork.  It’s all good.

I haven’t done a shop update in the longest time, so here are some new items in my various shops:

Green Earth Goodies – lots of new Eco-Friendly Stickers (they seem to be quite popular with the scrapbooking community – who knew?!)

Green Earth Images – I’ve been neglecting this shop for months and really need to get more photography up; meanwhile, here’s where my new Valentine’s Day (and un-Valentine’s) greetings are going:

Green Earth Supplies – nothing exciting here, but here’s the kind of stuff I sell for those looking for eco-friendly supplies:

j.c.spock – my whimsical shop continues to be busy and I’m just adding more options (though I am working on 4 new “girls” and hope to have them completed this week!)

Thanks for browsing my goods and seeing the fruits of my two words for 2011!  Hope you’re having a great week!!

Although I did a lot this week, I didn’t do a good job of getting results up in my shops.  Yesterday I photographed about 20 items, so now I have to write them up and post.  And the way Etsy does things, it’s not advantageous to post all your new stuff at once because their searches are arranged by items most recently listed, so if you list all 20 items at once, they’ll all get buried that quick, so it’s better to post once here and there…

However, I here are some examples of things I did get in my Green Earth Goodies shop:

I am also running a bit behind on fall photos (really should have had these up at least a month ago…still have to get back on a retail seasonal schedule!), but here are some pics I’m putting in a notecard collection, larger prints to be uploaded to my Green Earth Images shop this weekend:

My big focus has been getting my whimsical artwork shop running well and all my merchandise in place.  I’ve ordered several journals/sketchbooks – some eco-friendly and mass produced, some handmade from fellow Etsians.  Gonna compare once they get there and once I finalize one I like, then I’ll be embellishing with my artwork and selling.

Meanwhile, here are 2 new pieces that I’ve added (merchandise will be loaded up in my shop this week), a bit different from my other stuff and based off of Maya Angelou quotes, one of my favorite authors:

And I did some touch-ups on this piece I did a while back and now feel good selling:

I also have another piece I did that I just LOVE but it is in the process of being gifted to the recipient who inspired the piece, so once they receive, then I’ll post up here.  Merchandise is ready to go, I just don’t want to spoil the surprise for the recipient. :)

On a final note, check out this blog post my friend, former co-worker and fellow photographer, Casey Yu, did about me and my business; it’s interview style and you’ll probably learn more about me!  Thanks again Casey!

Thanks for checking out my goods!  Hope you all have a great weekend!
